My Transient Circle
Living Installation
Inspired by the sand mandalas of the Tibetan monks, I have created five mandalas existing out of treasures found in nature. Every mandala is representing a particular side of me. The mandalas are carefully places on a layer of water, over time the water level rises and will slowly wash away the materials from their surfaces. The materials from the different mandalas will join each other and collectively create a new, raw, unified mandala. Reflecting me as a whole person. Once the water has lifted the materials, the visual explanation of the five different sides will dissolve and a textual explanation will appear.
By exploring my personal position within the fashion field, I have developed a personal design signature manifesting itself in a living installation. Formulating personal values, visions, ambitions and identity trough use of materials.
